I currently work with three ensembles in the Greensboro, NC area. They vary in genres and all are available for hire. All of these ensembles are comprised of musicians who take extreme pride in their musicianship. Providing the best quality music and entertainment is our top priority and professionalism is of the utmost importance. We provide a tasteful and classy addition to your holiday party, award ceremony, birthday party, wedding reception, or bar/bat mitzvah. Whatever the style, whatever the occasion, the ensembles below can meet the needs of your event.

Unit Three
Unit Three is a jazz piano trio that has consistently been playing with each other since 2008. This experienced group consists of bassist, composer, and arranger Joseph Dickey, and studio drummer Daniel Faust, a Greensboro native. Together we have won national and international awards including the Downbeat award for best jazz arrangement and Best Band in the Bucharest International Jazz Competition. We have performed extensively in the Piedmont Triad area and have recorded with Joel Frahm, Lee Konitz, John Ellis, and has performed with Peter Bernstein and Marcus Printup of the Lincon Center Jazz Orchestra. Unit Three is the backbone of the upcoming album: Alive!
Imaginary Friends Ensemble
The Imaginary Friends Ensemble is a Chamber ensemble consisting of piano and clarinet. Leslie “Pinky’ Simmons, equally at home on both the clarinet and saxophone, is a graduate of the New England and Boston conservatories. Leslie has placed first in the Etude Music Club competition and was a selected soloist for the Hadley Crawford Recital. Leslie and I have worked with vocalists and more recently Andrew Simmons on the uilleann pipes. IFE has performed at the French Embassy in Washington D.C and is planning to travel to Spain in August for the Musica en Compostela music festival focusing on Spanish Composers. IFE also appears on the album: Alive!
Phe Phi Pho Phunk
Phe Phi Pho Phunk is a fun and exciting funk/soul band covering a wide range of the classics from the 70’s and 80’s as well as jazz standards reborn with a funky twist and original compositions. I play the Fender Rhodes along with bassist Clark Singleton and drummer Daniel Faust, both experienced studio musicians in groove music. We provide a phunky dance beat for all to get down to. Stevie Wonder’s Sir Duke and I Wish, Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean and Rock With You, Herbie Hancock, Parliament, and Jeff Lorber are only some of the greasy funky tunes you’ll hear. Jungle Boogie with Phe Phi Pho Phunk, Greensboro’s psychedelic funk trio at your next party: antonio.truyols@gmail.com
